Tea and Sympathy

When was the last time you slowed down long enough to just sit with a friend and talk?

Need someone to talk to?

Hi out there. I was reading some blogs the other day, there were plenty on ways to make money on the internet, computer help, and tons of gossip about celebrities. There are sites like Facebook, Twitter, and You Tube, and who can leave out all the instant messaging sites? Do you know what was missing? For me, at least, was my oldest girlfriend from the pre-computer days. Days when we spoke on the phone, walked our kids to the bus stop and sat down at least once a week over a pot of tea, or coffee in person!

How I miss her and our long talks! We solved all the problems in our families, our neighborhood and even in our own town, never mind getting into politics every week. We always knew we could count on each other when there was a problem, no matter how embarrassing it might be. The time would fly by and the whole afternoon would be gone.

Well, I’d like to bring it back with a more modern touch- the computer to be exact. If you are like me and miss an old friend, need someone to talk to or bounce ideas off of, I’m here, I’m old enough to have years of experience, but young enough to be out there in the real world with my teenager and my grandchild. I can listen and dispense honest, good hearted advise if you need it., or just give a sounding board for you to vent.

Read my About page, see if we could be a good fit. I look forward to having coffee or tea and talking with you.

I like my coffee with cream and sweetener, my tea dark and sweet, how about you?
